Molly Maguires and the Detectives

The Molly Maguires were a clandestine group of Irish immigrants, particularly active in Liverpool and the Eastern US, especially Pennsylvania. They worked to improve conditions of coal miners, and were not averse to vandalism and violence, including the murder of mine owners in an effort to reach that end.
