Upload Guide

How to upload a book

Our review process ensures every book in the library is properly licensed and high quality.

01

Verify the License

Confirm the work is in the public domain or licensed under a Creative Commons or equivalent open license. Works published before 1928 in the US are generally safe.

02

Prepare Your Files

Ebooks should be in EPUB or PDF format. Audiobooks should be MP3 at 128kbps or higher. Include a cover image (JPEG, 400×600px minimum) if possible.

03

Fill in the Metadata

Provide title, author, year of publication, language, and a short description. Accurate metadata makes books discoverable.

04

Submit for Review

Our team reviews every submission within 48 hours. We check licensing, file quality, and metadata accuracy before publishing.

Content guidelines

We only accept legally free content. When in doubt, check the rights badge on any existing book.
